New Horror Spoof: Spooked

As I promised at the start of this week, I wanted to have fun but useful posts for librarians and their patrons.  Well, you can’t get more fun that comic horror.

As I have discussed on this blog here before, the resurgence in good, solid horror has been a boon for comic horror.  You can’t have quality satire of a genre unless the genre itself is thriving.  So what better sign that horror is thriving than the well respected Geek and Sundry (a leading geek voice on the Internet) has a brand new comic web series called Spooked.  I have watched the first 2 episodes and can tell you it is worth your time.

Like the best on comic horror, the series relies on the genre’s conventions to tell a compelling story, but is not afraid to poke fun at itself.

Spend 30 minutes to watch he first episode; I think you will watch more.
