RIP Richard Matheson

Although not shocking, since he was 87, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Richard Matheson.  His novels, stories, and Twilight Zone episodes still hold up today.  And in our world of gore and violence, his more nuanced scares are still frightening.

Stephen King had the best statement on Matheson's career and passing. For King, I am sure this has been tough; he has listed Matheson as one of his biggest influences in numerous statements and interviews.
